Museum of wood rafting Gorgany is powerful mountain-mass of Internal Carpathians stretched from Vyshkovsky nek up to Yablonicky one. The highest top of Gorgany is Syvulya (1836 m.); a lot of mountaintops exceed 1700m: Popadya, Grofa, Vysoka, Bratkovska, Doboushanka etc.
The main feature of Gorgany is the stony alluvial covering the highest parts of tops and translating on local Goucul language it means "gorgany". The mountain-mass is covered of dense, practically pathless pine and fur-tree forests. Among other Gorgany's features it is possible to note plenty of waterfalls, which are to be found near villages of Tatarov, Bystrycya, Manyava, Yaremcha.
